Summer Hawk Ranch is a 40 acre+ working ranch located in the peaceful valley of Willcox, 200 miles south of Phoenix. Indigenous people loved this valley, and it was a special healing place to many tribal people. It is nestled between COCHISE STRONGHOLD and the CHIRICAUA MTS. At Summer Hawk, Youth experience culturally respectful counseling, traditional healing ceremonies, animal/equine therapy, life skill training, and individualized educational opportunities in a loving home environment. Youth have the opportunity to attend school, garden, create art & craft products, work with the horses, and enjoy the companionship of other animals like cats, dogs, goats, cows and chicken. Youth will be encouraged to participate in community activities like Scouts, FFA, 4H, Rodeo clubs, sports etc. AIPC is accepting applications for the beds available in this superb extended care residential program. Summer Hawk Residential Treatment Home provides support for youth between the ages of 13-17. The criteria for enrollment is: · Youth have completed at least 60 days of counseling/treatment, and if on probation, have probation clearance to reside in COCHISE county. · Youth WANT to participate in this program and be willing to follow the program rules. · Youth agree to and are referred and authorized for long term residential care.
